G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcz d\u00fcnyas\u0131nda yasal d\u00fczenlemeler, uluslararas\u0131 anla\u015fmalar, toplumda \u00e7evre ve \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan haklar\u0131, yat\u0131r\u0131mc\u0131lar taraf\u0131nda da \u015feffafl\u0131k ve hesap verilebilirlik gibi konulardaki duyarl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n giderek artmas\u0131 \u00f6zel sekt\u00f6r kurulu\u015flar\u0131n\u0131n da s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik konusunda stratejiler geli\u015ftirmesine yol a\u00e7maktad\u0131r. K\u00fcreselle\u015fme ve geli\u015fen bilgi ileti\u015fim teknolojileri sayesinde daha g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcr hale gelen faaliyetler, i\u015fletmeleri daha sorumlu davranmalar\u0131 konusunda zorlamaktad\u0131r (Blowfield ve Murray, 2008:87). Bu ba\u011flamda, \u00f6zel sekt\u00f6r kurulu\u015flar\u0131n\u0131n varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 devam ettirebilmesi i\u00e7in k\u00e2r maksimizasyonu odakl\u0131 stratejiler yerine g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcz beklentilerine cevap veren yenilik\u00e7i stratejiler geli\u015ftirmesi elzem bir ihtiya\u00e7 haline gelmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>20. y\u00fczy\u0131l, Sanayi Devrimi\u2019nin yaratt\u0131\u011f\u0131 etkiyle ekonomik refah\u0131n artt\u0131\u011f\u0131 bir d\u00f6nem olmu\u015ftur. Ya\u015fanan sanayile\u015fmeye paralel olarak n\u00fcfus da\u011f\u0131l\u0131m dengeleri, kentle\u015fme y\u00f6n\u00fcnde yo\u011funla\u015fmaya ba\u015flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Di\u011fer taraftan d\u00fcnyan\u0131n pek \u00e7ok \u00fclkesini sarsan d\u00fcnya sava\u015flar\u0131n\u0131n sona ermesi ile n\u00fcfus art\u0131\u015f\u0131 kaydedilmi\u015ftir. Bununla birlikte, ya\u015fanan sosyoekonomik geli\u015fmeler, \u00e7evresel ve sosyal anlamda baz\u0131 olumsuz sonu\u00e7lar\u0131 do\u011furmu\u015ftur. Bu olumsuzluklar, do\u011fal kaynaklar\u0131n tahrip edilmesi, yenilenemeyen enerji kaynaklar\u0131n\u0131n h\u0131zl\u0131 t\u00fcketimi, en \u00f6nemli \u00fcretim fakt\u00f6rlerinden olan \u00e7al\u0131\u015fanlar\u0131n temel haklar\u0131n\u0131n korunmas\u0131 gibi konularda yeni bir bak\u0131\u015f a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131 ihtiyac\u0131na ili\u015fkin bir fark\u0131ndal\u0131k yaratm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r (\u00d6zmehmet, 2008).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yukar\u0131da dile getirilen geli\u015fmeler do\u011frultusunda, tan\u0131m\u0131 ve ba\u015flang\u0131\u00e7taki geli\u015fimi itibariyle, uluslar \u00fcst\u00fc bir nitelik ta\u015f\u0131yan s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilir kalk\u0131nma, ge\u00e7en zaman i\u00e7erisinde, k\u00fcresel boyuttan ulusal, b\u00f6lgesel ve organizasyonel d\u00fczeyde hedeflenen ve uygulanan bir kavram haline gelmi\u015ftir (Altunta\u015f ve T\u00fcrker, 2012). S\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilir kalk\u0131nma anlay\u0131\u015f\u0131, organizasyonel d\u00fczeye \u201ckurumsal s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik\u201d ifadesiyle aktar\u0131l\u0131rken, \u201cbir kurumun, do\u011frudan ve dolayl\u0131 payda\u015flar\u0131n\u0131n (ortaklar, \u00e7al\u0131\u015fanlar, m\u00fc\u015fteriler, bask\u0131 gruplar\u0131, toplum vs.) ihtiya\u00e7lar\u0131n\u0131, gelecekteki payda\u015flar\u0131n\u0131n ihtiya\u00e7lar\u0131n\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131layabilme olana\u011f\u0131n\u0131 tehlikeye atmadan sa\u011flanan kalk\u0131nma\u201d olarak tan\u0131mlanabilir (Dyllick ve Hockerts, 2002: 131). Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla, kurumsal s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik en yal\u0131n anlat\u0131m\u0131yla s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilir kalk\u0131nma kavram\u0131n\u0131n organizasyon d\u00fczeyine indirgenmesi olarak ifade edilebilir (Dalg\u0131\u00e7 Turhan, \u00d6zen ve Albayrak, 2018). Kurumsal s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlikte i\u015fletmelerin, i\u00e7inde bulunduklar\u0131 toplum ve \u00e7evre kurallar\u0131n\u0131 dikkate alarak faaliyetlerini s\u00fcrd\u00fcrmeleri gerekmektedir (Anatolianpr, 2019).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ekonomik, sosyal ve \u00e7evresel boyutuyla kurumsal s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik konusundaki fark\u0131ndal\u0131\u011f\u0131n ve bilin\u00e7lenmenin artmas\u0131, \u00f6zellikle geli\u015fmi\u015f ekonomilerde \u00f6zel sekt\u00f6r kurulu\u015flar\u0131n\u0131n uluslararas\u0131 ge\u00e7erlili\u011fe sahip sertifikasyon s\u00fcre\u00e7leri ve \u00e7e\u015fitli s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik g\u00f6stergelerini i\u00e7eren \u201cs\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik raporlar\u0131\u201d yay\u0131nlanmaya ba\u015flamas\u0131na yol a\u00e7m\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde kurumsal s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik stratejisi izleyen ve raporlar yay\u0131nlayan kurulu\u015flar artan fark\u0131ndal\u0131k nedeniyle bulunduklar\u0131 sekt\u00f6rde giderek artan oranda rekabet \u00fcst\u00fcnl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc elde etmekte, daha \u00e7ok itibar g\u00f6rmekte ve g\u00fcven hissi uyand\u0131rmaktad\u0131r. Bu nedenle, borsalar da gerek firmalar i\u00e7in kurumsal \u015feffafl\u0131k ve hesap verebilirlik olana\u011f\u0131 sa\u011flamak, gerekse yat\u0131r\u0131mc\u0131lar i\u00e7in s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik ve kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk ilkelerini benimseyen firmalar\u0131n ay\u0131rt edilip bu firmalara yat\u0131r\u0131m yap\u0131lmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flamak amac\u0131yla s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik endeksi olu\u015fturma faaliyetleri y\u00fcr\u00fctmektedirler (Dalg\u0131\u00e7 Turhan, \u00d6zen ve Albayrak, 2018). Bu ba\u011flamdaki ilk s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik endeksleri, Dow Jones (1999) ve Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) taraf\u0131ndan (2001) olu\u015fturulmu\u015ftur (BIST, 2014: 36). \u00dclkemizde de Borsa \u0130stanbul, s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik uygulamalar\u0131n\u0131 te\u015fvik etmek amac\u0131yla BIST S\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik Endeksi\u2019ni geli\u015ftirmi\u015f ve ilk kez 2014 y\u0131l\u0131nda s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik de\u011ferlemeleri ba\u015flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r (BIST, 2015: 3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yap\u0131lan bir ara\u015ft\u0131rmada d\u00fcnyan\u0131n en b\u00fcy\u00fck 250 \u015firketinin %92\u2019sinin s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik raporu yay\u0131nlad\u0131\u011f\u0131 belirlenmi\u015ftir (GRI, 2014). &nbsp;Artiach vd. (2010) taraf\u0131ndan yap\u0131lan ara\u015ft\u0131rma kapsam\u0131nda ise Dow Jones S\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik Endeksi\u2019nin \u00fcst s\u0131ralar\u0131ndaki firmalar ile bu endekste yer almayan firmalar kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Sonu\u00e7lar, endekste yer alan firmalar\u0131n, di\u011fer firmalara g\u00f6re b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fck, karl\u0131l\u0131k ve b\u00fcy\u00fcme d\u00fczeyleri bak\u0131m\u0131ndan anlaml\u0131 bir farkl\u0131l\u0131k g\u00f6sterdi\u011fini, karl\u0131l\u0131k ve b\u00fcy\u00fcme potansiyelinin, kurumsal s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik performans\u0131na y\u00fcksek seviyede yat\u0131r\u0131m yap\u0131lmas\u0131 ile ili\u015fkili oldu\u011funu belirtmektedir (Dalg\u0131\u00e7 Turhan, \u00d6zen ve Albayrak, 2018). \u00dclkemizde ise, kurumsalsurdurulebilirlik.com verilerine g\u00f6re, bug\u00fcne kadar 119 kurulu\u015f taraf\u0131ndan 395 s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik raporu yay\u0131nlanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toplumda s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilir kalk\u0131nma k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fc geli\u015ftik\u00e7e yat\u0131r\u0131mc\u0131lar ve t\u00fcketiciler taraf\u0131nda beklentiler yo\u011funla\u015facak buna paralel olarak yasal d\u00fczenlemeler de art\u0131\u015f g\u00f6sterecektir. S\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirli\u011fi oda\u011f\u0131na alabilen kurumlar rekabet avantaj\u0131 elde ederek varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 devam ettirebilecek, ayak uyduramayanlar ise bir s\u00fcre sonra varl\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 s\u00fcrd\u00fcrme konusunda zorlan\u0131r hale gelecektir.
